Role Description
The Junior Associate will work on a full-time, on-site basis at the Bhagalpur office. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting senior advocates and partners with case preparation, drafting and reviewing legal documents, and conducting legal research on statutes, case law, and regulations. The role involves attending client meetings, helping prepare briefs and pleadings, coordinating with court staff, and maintaining organized case files. The Junior Associate will also support in preparing case summaries, drafting correspondence, and managing timelines to ensure effective case progress. As part of the team, the Junior Associate is expected to uphold professional standards, maintain confidentiality, and contribute to a positive and efficient work environment.
Qualifications
Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B. or equivalent) from a recognized institution; enrollment with the appropriate Bar Council is preferred.
Demonstrate strong legal research and analytical abilities, including proficiency in using online legal databases and resources.
Have solid drafting and writing skills for pleadings, contracts, notices, and other legal documents, with attention to detail and clarity.
Exhibit effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with clients, colleagues, and court personnel.
Show strong organizational and time-management capabilities, including the ability to handle multiple matters and meet deadlines.
Display familiarity with basic office software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, document management) and an aptitude for learning new tools.
Maintain high ethical standards, professionalism, and discretion in handling confidential information.
Prior internship or entry-level experience in litigation or corporate practice is beneficial but not mandatory.
